NEET 2026 Eligibility – Do You Qualify?

Academic Qualification

    • Passed or appearing in Class 12 (10+2) in 2026
    • Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology
    • English is compulsory

Minimum Marks in Class 12 (PCB aggregate)

    • General / EWS → 50%
    • OBC / SC / ST → 40%
    • General-PwD → 45%

Age Requirement (as on 31 December 2026)

    • Minimum age → 17 years completed
    • No upper age limit (as per latest rules)

How to Fill NEET UG 2026 Application Form (Step by Step)

The complete process is online only.

Step 1 – Registration

    1. Go to neet.nta.nic.in
    1. Click on “New Registration” / “Fresh Registration”
    1. Enter full name, date of birth, mobile number, email
    1. Verify mobile & email through OTP
    1. You will receive Application Number and Password

Save both Application Number and Password safely — you will need them for the entire process.

Step 2 – Filling Personal & Academic Details

Log in and complete:

    • Personal information
    • Parents’ / guardian’s details
    • Category (General / OBC / SC / ST / EWS / PwD)
    • Nationality
    • Class 10 and Class 12 marks / appearing status
    • Select 4 preferred exam cities

Double-check names, numbers, spellings — they must match your documents exactly.

Step 3 – Upload Documents

Step 5 – Final Submission & Download

    • Submit the application
    • Download and print the confirmation page (very important)

NEET 2026 Application Correction Window

    • Usually opens for 5–7 days after registration ends
    • You can correct most (but not all) details
    • Common editable fields: photo, signature, exam city, category (sometimes), educational details
    • Non-editable fields (in most cases): name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID

Correction is allowed only once. Be very careful.

Image Correction Window (Special)

If NTA finds your photo/signature/thumb impression unacceptable:

    • They announce a separate image correction window
    • You must re-upload correct images in the given time
    • If not corrected → application may be rejected

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is offline application possible? No. Only online mode is available.
Is Aadhaar card compulsory? No. You can use any valid government ID (Passport, Voter ID, PAN, Driving License, etc.).
Can I change my exam city after submission? Only during the correction window (if allowed that year).
What if I enter wrong information? Minor mistakes can be corrected in the correction window. Major mistakes (especially name/DOB) may not be changeable.
Do I need NEET score to study MBBS abroad? Yes – as per NMC rules, qualifying NEET is mandatory for Indian citizens even if studying abroad.
